Chris Taylor studied Architecture at the University of Florida and at Harvard’s Graduate School of Design receiving his Master of Architecture in 1990. Since then he has lived primarily in the southwest (New Mexico, Texas, and Arizona) and has taught Architecture at the University of Florida, North Dakota State University, and at the University of Arizona. 

In Fall 2001 he joined the Faculty of Design at the University of Texas at Austin to contribute to the ongoing development of an interdisciplinary design program. He is the co-director of LAND ARTS OF THE AMERICAN WEST. His research has been published internationally and his design practice, the ARCHITECTURE WORKERS COMBINE, has built work in New Mexico, Arizona, and Texas.
