LULA MARCONDES

Lula Marcondes graduated with a BA in Architecture and Urban Planning from the Federal University of Pernambuco, in Recife, Brazil, in 1997. In 1998, he and two partners founded O Norte – Oficina de Criação (The North – Creative Workshop), www.onorte.arq.br, an architecture, urban planning, and graphic design company. O Norte develops partnerships with other architects, artists, cultural groups, and non-profit organizations.

Lula is also a painter and a musician whose work is grounded in the traditional cultures of Northeast Brazil. Since 2004, Lula has studied English at University of Texas and has sought experience in green architecture and promotion of culture exchange between the U.S. and Brazil.
